Newsletter Delivery Options

Newsletters can be delivered in a number of ways.

Email

Access Communications assists you in transmitting newsletters electronically in one of two formats:

  • As a PDF attachment, or
  • As an e-newsletter in the body of an email.

PDF Attachments

We lay the newsletter out in a page-composition program and convert it into a PDF file. The file is attached to an email message and broadcast to a mailing list. The email itself serves merely as a transmittal memo.

Emails with PDF files are sent from your company's email servers, as commercial email service providers typically don't host emails with attachments.

Your newsletter's recipients have the option of printing out the PDF file and leafing through it offline, but anecdotal evidence shows that most people read the document on their computer monitors.

E-Newsletters

E-newsletters generally contain one or more story headlines or summaries, each of which carries a link to its full version hosted on a remote website. Some e-newsletters dispense with the summaries and feature entire stories.

E-newsletters can be transmitted from in-house or third-party servers.

Access Communications makes e-newsletter distribution easy. We provide the newsletter as an HTML file and help you set up its hosting and mailing.

Intranet

You can choose not to publish a standalone newsletter and still keep your employees informed by placing company stories and articles on your intranet. Employees who visit the intranet portal will see the story headlines and links next to other company information like benefits or training updates.

If you publish PDF newsletters, you can store them on your intranet for future retrieval by employees.

Whatever your use of intranets, Access Communications can send you text and image files that your webmaster can easily place on your intranet.

Postal Mail

A gorgeous newsletter printed on premium coated stock and distributed through the mail sends an unmistakable message about your company's self-image and commitment to its publics.

Many managers believe a printed newsletter is a far more effective communications vehicle than its electronic counterpart, and are willing to invest in its production and mailing.

If you decide to print your newsletter, we can send you files in whichever format your printers require. Or, if you prefer, we can manage the entire printing and mailing job.
